Chennai Tour

Hotels ChennaiI was really looking forward to my Chennai tour for my vacations this year. Chennai the capital of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu is located on the Coromandel Coast of the Bay of Bengal. It being the fourth largest metropolitan city in India has a renowned history of being the urban centre and naval base of British colonizers. Formerly known as Madras the city has developed a broad industrial base in the automobile, technology, hardware manufacturing and healthcare industries as well.

The city has emerged from a fishing village that lay to the north of Fort St. George and was officially renamed as Chennai in 1996. The city has served as an important administrative, military and economic centre and has a history of being dynasty of various renowned rulers of Southern India and hence, the city owns numerous historical sites which are still cherished as the emblem of the foregone era.

Beach Tour My Chennai travel guide provided me an opportunity to explore various spectacular sites of Chennai. My first day of travel Chennai began with a visit to Kapaleeswarar the biggest temple in the city is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is an outstanding piece of Dravidian art and architecture. The Fort St. George is one of the main tourist places in the city; the history of the place goes back in the British era as it was the first bastion of British colonizers in India. As escorted by our tour guide we also visited National Art Gallery which houses sections of amazing collection of geology, archaeologym anthropology, numismatics, botany, zoology, sculpture and armory.

South India Tour It was the most desired vacation I have ever spent in India during my South India Tour. The tour which lasted for around one month was enriched by a pleasant weather as I planned my trip in the month of November. The flamboyant memories of the trip still linger in my mind which shares a meaningful page in my travel diary.

In my recent trip in South India I stayed for around two weeks in Chennai. The city was one ideal destination in my one-month-old tour in India. I enjoyed staying in the artistically maintained Chennai Hotels. Favoured by a cordial staff and quality hospitality the whole of my trip rendered a fine experience during my stay in the hotel.Chennai is commonly known as the Gateway of South India. The city associates itself with an enriched culture and tradition from its ancient past. The city opens its door for worldwide tourists round the year. Ranging from sun- kissed beaches to various historical places, Chennai is a favourite tourist destination for everyone from all over the world.
